Thought bubbles A cartoon convention of long standing, the thought bubble shows, through words or images or both, what a character is thinking rather than saying. They are typically drawn as a series of small bubbles leading to a cloud shape that holds the thought. In my cartoon, the thought is a day dream of an appropriate celebration for such an important occasion, only to be popped when I come back to reality.
This year my Christmas elves make a reappearance along with, for the first time, Santa. I kept doodling Santa, and so finally decided to bring him (or someone dressed as him) into the mix.
Merry Christmas to all my readers. I hope your Santa brings you what you really want.
I remember this tradition from a short story I read long ago. This cartoon doesn’t have a punch line, its just meant to evoke a quiet scene in an ordinary neighborhood.
